We were so unsure what to expect with a new born photo shoot and just wanted to feel comfortable and natural in our own home. Mel was the perfect photographer just for that. She made us laugh and feel so at ease during the photos. We felt guided and provided some suggestions which turned out amazing. We had a beautiful experience in our newborn photo shoot with Mel, from the moment I opened the door and met her I felt an instant connection and when I saw how she looked at our baby and her warm and friendly persona, I knew the photos she would produce were going to be magic...and they were! ​I have a very introvert personality and birthing for me and my husband was something we had felt was very private, but I always longed for the documentation of our baby coming into the world. When we declined photos with our first baby, I mustered up the courage to have someone capture the birth of our second baby and I'm so glad I did!! 
Mel knew of our concerns about being very private people and she 100% made my husband and I feel so comfortable right from the get go. To be honest we didn't even realise she was in the room most of the time! What we were left with was a moment in time captured for us to look back on for the rest of our lives. Everytime we look at these photos it takes us right back to the raw emotions in that very moment, something we are truely grateful for! 
We were so in love with Mel's work, that we asked her to take photos of our little girl when she turned 1. Again she worked her magic, every picture tells a story and she truely captured the personality of my little girl in every shot she took.
