First up; a little about me. I'm Mel, part-time photographer, full-time Mama to 3 gorgeous, crazy girls; Poppy (8), Lily (6) & Violet (4) & wife to a wonderful husband. Photography is 100% my passion in life. Not a day goes by that I'm not tinkering away doing something with it. I actually began as a Neonatal Nurse but since having my own children, I felt the need to find a creative outlet that I could make my own. I love that I have been able to turn my art into a 'job'. I'm really proud of what I have been able to achieve in this space that brings so much happiness & fulfilment into my life. I hope that what I create also brings love + happiness to others' lives as they look back over their printed memories.

My approach to both newborn & family photography is natural, authentic & relaxed. I believe there is so much beauty to be captured in the simplicity, especially when it comes to newborns. I love nothing more than photographing real, genuine moments of love & connection. When it comes time to edit your gallery, my style is clean, crisp & timeless, with an emphasis on perfecting 'true to life' colours & skin tones. If memory is the scribe to the soul, then photography is the ink with which to write. |
I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of photographs. Freezing time on some of the most beautiful moments of your life allows you to take them with you into the next phase & beyond. An ability to remember all of the tiny details, long after your memory begins to fade. Our children grow & change so quickly, having these memories of them to cherish & look back on is so invaluable. I absolutely love capturing & sharing moments in my own childrens' lives. This is what has fuelled my love & drive for photography. It's always such an honour when asked to capture other people's children too. I absolutely love what I do, like truly do. I like to think that this shines through in every single image I create.
